Unity Housing has lodged a submission to the Senate Economics References Committee Inquiry into the Economic and Social Benefits of Investment in Social Housing. Drawing on our experience as South Australia’s largest community housing provider, the submission outlines the critical role social housing plays in supporting housing security, social inclusion and economic participation.
The submission calls for a long term national housing strategy, sustained investment in social and affordable housing, and recognition of community housing providers as key partners in delivering and stewarding housing for future generations.
With around 3,700 properties under management across South Australia, Unity Housing believes social housing is essential infrastructure that provides people with the stability, security and opportunity to build better lives.
