What is happening?

YourPlace Housing and Unity Housing have agreed to merge to form a single organisation. YourPlace will become part of Unity Housing in early June 2026.

Why is this merger happening?

The merger will create a stronger organisation with more capacity to manage homes, support tenants and invest in the future. It allows specialist disability housing services to be delivered within a larger organisation.

Will I keep the same home?

Yes. Your existing lease terms and conditions will not change because of the merger. You will continue living in the same property under those lease terms.

Will my rent change because of the merger?

No. Your rent will not change because of the merger itself. Normal rent reviews will continue to occur in line with existing rules and processes, with the next one taking effect from July 2026.

Will my lease or tenancy rights change?

No. Your lease and tenancy rights will continue. The merger does not reduce your rights or security as a tenant.
