Welcome to Unity Housing

Unity Housing is committed to ensuring the ongoing health and safety of staff, contractors and visitors.

Contractors seeking to work with Unity Housing are required to demonstrate they are competent to undertake the works in a safe manner.

Contractors will be approved to undertake works on behalf of Unity Housing based on a review of their Work Health and Safety systems, in addition to demonstrating their ability to perform the works to ensure compliance with legislation and in line with Unity Housing’s health and safety expectations.

YourPlace Housing Merger

YourPlace Housing and Unity Housing have agreed to merge to form a single organisation. YourPlace will become part of Unity Housing in early June 2026.  The merger will create a stronger organisation with more capacity to manage homes, support tenants and invest in the future.

What stays the same for now
Contractors will continue to be engaged under their existing work arrangements for the same types of work.

What happens next
Work allocation will remain largely unchanged for the first 12 months, after which we will review performance as part of our ongoing asset management planning to best maintain operational requirements.

Maintenance Priorities and Service Delivery Response Times

Unity Housing has a well-established responsive maintenance regime in place and commits to meeting response times. Our performance in meeting service delivery times is measured and provided to the National Regulator for review. Unity Housing’s ongoing accreditation as a Tier 1 Provider is subject to meeting these response times.

Unity Housing has a tiered priority structure with specific commencement and completion time frames. Our priority regime and timeframes are as below:

SMS Notification of Completion Times for Priority 1, 2 and 3 works

The reporting of response and completion times for Priority 1, Priority 2 and Priority 3 work orders is a requirement as a Tier 1 Provider.

Your contribution by notifying Unity Housing of completion times for Priority 1, Priority 2 and Priority 3 works is vital to meeting our service delivery commitment. At the completion of Priority 1, 2 and 3 works all contractors must notify Unity Housing of the completion time of works.

Notification is sent via SMS from your registered number and stored on your contractor file. Each mobile number you want to send notifications from will need to be registered with Unity Housing to link to our SMS Application.
