About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Housing Officer to join our team in Bowden on a permanent full-time basis. Reporting to the Team Leader – Social Housing, you will be responsible for:

  • Independently managing facets of tenancy/property management in line with the Residential Tenancies Act and relevant social housing program requirements.
  • Tenancy management for lease renewals, tenant enquiries, tenancy debt and neighbourhood disputes and complaints.
  • Property inspections including scheduling, undertaking inspections to a high quality, follow up inspections where required.
  • Maintaining tenancy administration from making case notes, updating tenancy details in the Tenancy database, key registers and keys managed, attending SACAT.

You must have a current driver’s license and may need to travel regionally. Employment conditions include maintaining a current driver’s license, and passing a police check, DHS working with children check, and vulnerable employment screening.

About You

As an experienced Property Manager or Housing Officer, you possess a strong passion for delivering exceptional customer service and can demonstrate proficiency in IT, exceptional organisational abilities, and excellent administrative skills. Your effective communication extends to various stakeholders, including tenants and support agencies, enabling you to provide a highly responsible and professional tenancy and social housing management service. Additionally, your collaborative approach makes you an effective team player.

  1. Proven experience in the property management sector with current and practical understanding of the Residential Tenancies Act, SACAT and professional standards in the industry.
  2. High level of administration experience and advanced computer skills, including the use of data bases, web-based applications, and Microsoft Suite, ideally gained in a housing or real estate environment.
  3. Ability to work efficiently and independently to meet work targets and deadlines with minimal supervision and able to work in a collaborative and proactive manner with flexibility to support team and colleagues.
  4. Experience working with people with challenging behaviours and empathy for people with multiple and complex barriers to sustaining a successful tenancy.
  5. High level of interpersonal skills and ability to establish professional relationships with key agency stakeholders to facilitate collaborative effort for identified client needs and support.
  6. Knowledge and understanding of Work Health and Safety requirements that relate to working in the field with complex tenants.

Quality Administration Officer

About the Role 

We are seeking an experienced Quality Administration Officer to join our Group Services team on a permanent full-time basis. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining our Digital File Management System, ensuring efficient document control, and supporting compliance activities. Key responsibilities include: 

  • Providing essential administrative support for Document Management and Control. 
  • Assisting in the Quality Assurance (QA) process through administrative tasks. 
  • Supporting the Group Services team with various administrative needs. 

This role has the opportunity to work in a hybrid model with up to two days working from home per week.  

About You 

You are a dedicated professional with min. 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role, possessing either a Cert IV in Business Administration, a related field, or equivalent experience. With extensive experience in administration and document control, you excel at high-level Word and Excel tasks, ensuring meticulous handling of documents through your strong attention to detail and superior organisational skills. Your familiarity with the non-profit sector is advantageous, and you bring a nuanced understanding of its unique challenges. Known for your calm and collected demeanour, you foster a pleasant work environment and demonstrate initiative by working independently without the need for supervision. You thrive in self-sufficient roles, requiring minimal hands-on management, and consistently showcase your competence in executing responsibilities independently.
