Unity’s Boarding House Program provides a home each night to 117 of the most marginalised and disadvantaged people in the community. Providing accommodation across four sites in the CBD and housing vulnerable people who are unable to access other appropriate and affordable housing options and who can live independently. The Terrace is staffed 24/7 with the three other sites managed in an outreach capacity.

About the Role

We are currently seeking a Tenant Services Officer to join our Boarding House team on a casual basis. The primary purpose of the role is to:

  • Provide professional and positive community relationships including exceptional customer service to our tenants, community members and service providers.
  • Undertake cleaning duties as required.
  • Provide professional service delivery including reception duties, answering the door, responding to telephone calls, record keeping.
  • Provide ongoing monitoring and active management of common areas.
  • Assist the Team Leader to maximise boarding house occupancy rates against organisational KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)

Tenant Services Officers are employed under the Hospitality Industry (General) Award 2010 – with wages based on Guest Service Grade 3 and attracting penalty rates for shifts as worked.

About You

Due to the spread of hours, this role is ideal for a full-time student pursuing studies in a community service-related field and seeking casual work to complement their studies, or for someone looking to add extra hours alongside another part-time or casual position.

Casual shifts will be eight hours in duration, with start times of 7am, 3pm, and 11pm. Additional shifts may be available during staff absences or peak periods when extra coverage is needed.

  4. Relevant experience working in areas such as community or disability services
  5. Willingness and availability to meet the mandatory requirement for rostered shift work across day, evening, and night shifts
  6. High level administration and IT skills
  7. A current First Aid certificate (or willingness to attain)
  8. Current full SA driver’s licence

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join our IT team full-time. Your primary focus will be improving the quality and efficiency of our data systems. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring data quality, accuracy, and integrity through effective data management and cleansing.
  • Analysing and interpreting complex datasets to support business recommendations and reporting.
  • Developing and maintaining data models, frameworks, and documentation to enhance data consistency.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to identify and address reporting gaps and develop solutions.
  • Upholding privacy, confidentiality, and cybersecurity principles in all data activities.
  • Providing guidance on data management practices and contributing to data-driven projects.

About You

An effective communicator, the ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, IT, Business Analytics, or Statistics, supported by relevant certifications. You should bring proven experience in data analysis technologies, data visualisation, and reporting tools, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SQL databases. Strong analytical skills, along with the ability to uncover data trends and insights, are essential.
