About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Team Leader to join our Supported Housing Team on a permanent full-time basis. The primary purpose of the role is to:
- Lead, supervise and support a housing team to deliver effective tenancy and property services
- Oversee core tenancy functions including leasing, vacancies, rent arrears, property inspections, disputes and SACAT processes
- Manage staff performance, development, recruitment and day-to-day operational support
- Ensure compliance with legislation, policy, confidentiality and organisational requirements
- Monitor service delivery outcomes, occupancy levels, reporting and continuous improvement activities
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support coordinated service delivery
- Manage complex tenancy issues, complaints and high-needs client matters in a timely and professional manner
- Promote a strong values-based, safe and customer-focused service culture
About You
You are an experienced tenancy or housing professional with at least 5 years’ tenancy management experience and a strong background in leading teams, confident managing complex, high-volume portfolios within compliance-driven environments. You bring experience across complex tenancy matters including arrears, disputes, property issues and SACAT processes, alongside sound knowledge of confidentiality and legislative requirements.
Proactive and solutions-focused, you think on your feet, communicate effectively, and build strong stakeholder relationships within a collaborative, values-driven culture. Able to work autonomously, you support continuous improvement and are driven by supporting your team to deliver high-quality housing outcomes for vulnerable South Australians. Experience in supported or transitional housing environments is highly regarded.

- Experience leading and supervising teams within housing, property or community services, including responsibility for performance, day-to-day operations, and supporting staff development.
- Strong working knowledge of tenancy management practices, including the Residential Tenancies Act, SACAT processes, rent arrears management, and strategies to sustain tenancies.
- Experience working with people with complex needs, including mental health challenges, disability, substance use, justice involvement and homelessness, using a trauma-informed, person-centred approach.
- Experience coordinating service delivery across teams and external agencies to achieve positive, consistent outcomes for tenants and communities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and formal documentation, with the ability to manage conflict, assess risk, and resolve issues effectively.
- A strong commitment to social justice, respect and collaboration, with the ability to contribute to a positive workplace culture and deliver high-quality, customer-focused housing services.
