About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Customer Service Advisor (CSA) to join our Customer Care Centre team on a permanent part-time basis (30.4 hours a week over four days), Tuesday – Friday.

Reporting to the Team Leader – Customer Care, the Customer Service Advisor (CSA) is a valued member of our Housing Operations team, delivering professional, customer-focused services to tenants, customers and service partners. As the first point of contact for housing and tenancy enquiries, you will manage a high volume of phone calls using a first contact resolution approach, taking ownership of enquiries and resolving them wherever possible.

Beyond providing exceptional customer service, this role is responsible for key operational functions that directly support the delivery of housing services. These include coordinating tenant selection for vacant properties and undertaking twice-yearly bulk rent reviews across our tenancy portfolio. This is a diverse and rewarding role that combines customer engagement, sound decision-making and operational administration.

About You

You are a customer focused housing professional with strong administration and time management skills, ideally gained in property management, tenancy services, or a similar tenancy environment. You thrive in a fast-paced environment where customer conversations are a significant part of your day. You enjoy taking ownership of enquiries, balancing a high volume of customer calls with operational responsibilities, while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. An empathetic and approachable communicator, you take a solution focused, client centred approach and can balance compassion with professionalism when handling challenging conversations. You are flexible and adaptable to change, you enjoy working collaboratively and are motivated by achieving positive outcomes.

  1. Demonstrated knowledge of the social housing landscape, including policies, programmes, and initiatives.
  2. Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional customer service with a collaborative and solution-focused approach.
  3. Advanced administrative and computer skills, with proven experience in Microsoft Office, tenancy databases, and the Single Housing Register.
  4. Empathetic and considerate understanding of the challenges faced by people experiencing homelessness, diverse cultural backgrounds, disabilities, mental illness, older individuals, or those with complex needs.
  5. Proficiency in creating clear and concise written communications, including reports and correspondence, and maintaining accurate and detailed documentation.
  6. Ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment and adapt quickly to new challenges
